After graduating from drama school in Manchester, Lee spent many years touring and then writing shows for Theatre-in-Education roadshows that visited schools across the length and breadth of the UK, unpacking many varied issue-based topics.

Since hanging up his touring shoes, Lee has focused on writing and performing in local productions and has produced many plays and performance pieces for local arts company Codswallop CIC, based at Guiseley Theatre, as their writer in residence.
