Richard D Rhodes is a Shipley-based writer of various flavours: stage, screen & prose. His stage material has been showcased by The Leeds Playhouse, Freedom Studios, Rise & Howl Productions, Lost Fox Productions & Leeds Pub Theatre. He has also been mentored by Paines Plough as a playwright and by Screen Yorkshire (under the Mayor's Script Diversity Programme) as a screenwriter. He is a member of the Bradford Script Hub (a project supported by New Writing North and Channel 4). He has had articles published by DWAS and a short story in the 'Bradford - Writing the City' anthology. His material has been featured by BBC Upload.

Beyond writing, he is a media producer and director. He leads Studio Productions @ Bingley Little Theatre, focusing on fostering new writing and creativity through the ITCH programme which includes regular Scratch Nights, Theatre in the Bar, a monthly Script Writers' Lab and opportunities to have longer works taken into production on the Bingley Arts Centre stages and beyond. He is also the founder of Wool City Media Ltd, a production company focusing on stage, screen and audio material, where he is the Artistic Director and Executive Producer. As a producer, he has been featured on the Grey Matters More podcast. Beyond that, he serves on the boards of the Red Ladder Theatre Company, Script Yorkshire and Rainbow Home North.
