Roo Pilkington

Roo is a writer, actor and performance poet.

Gay, non-binary and as camp as an ice skater's best friend, their works prefer to explore the insidious and darkly comic side of theatre, particularly focusing on themes of loneliness, regret, queerness and rebellion.

As well as being part of the Committee, with a focus on press and communications, Roo helps to administer the Yorkshire Fringe Theatre Network on Facebook, advertising opportunities for creatives throughout Yorkshire.

Outside of the Yorkshire Fringe, Roo also runs Fight Like A Girl!, producing theatrical runs of short plays as well as 'Play-In-A-Day's, all to raise money for cancer research.

In terms of their personal philosophy, Roo hates quiche and so do you. Even if you think you like it, you don't; it's awful and you're all kidding yourselves.
